The Link, March 2025 – Celebrating Women in Payments & Accelerating Action for Gender Equality
In celebration of International Women’s Day, we invite you to The Link event on Friday, 7 March, an unmissable opportunity to connect with inspiring wāhine trailblazers in payments. This year’s theme, #AccelerateAction, challenges us all to drive meaningful change, both personally and professionally.
We’re thrilled to have Jo Caird and Georgie (Paula) George as our guest speakers. These two extraordinary wāhine are not only accomplished athletes but also pioneering leaders in the sports world. Together with three other wāhine owners, Jo and Georgie are proud to co-own the BNZ Kāhu, a world-first professional women’s basketball team that’s entirely owned, managed, and coached by women.
Jo and Georgie will share their personal sports and career success stories and discuss how they’re driving action for wāhine and advancing gender equality in sports and beyond.

A double international in both rugby and netball, Georgie has competed in six World Cups for England and Wales, including a World Cup win as the Captain of the Red Roses England team. She is also the current scholarship manager for the Tania Dalton Foundation, where she continues to inspire the next generation of wāhine leaders.
